What is Raw, Unprocessed Honey? All our honey has never been heated or pasteurized so the enzymes are not destroyed. Store honey at room temperature. Raw honey will not spoil. All raw honey will eventually granulate. Simply place jar in warm water until the honey reliquefies.

What is Creamed Honey?Sooner or later honey will crystallize. We place a small amount of finely crystallized honey into our liquid honey (called “seed”). We then store it at a controlled cool temperature for a few weeks until the entire container of honey crystallizes evenly…making it a delicious, gourmet spread.

What is Bee Pollen?Besides collecting nectar from flowers, bees select only those pollens that contain the greatest amount of protein and other nutrients. The bees mix pollen with nectar and take them to their hives. Bees use pollen as food.

How is Bee Pollen Produced? Our pollen is produced in Northeast Wisconsin. We collect pollen that our bees bring back to the hives in the months of May through September – our growing season. Each of these months supply the bees with blooms from different plants and flowers. Pollen is collected on a regular basis during the summer and is placed in a freezer to help preserve it’s freshness. At the end of the growing season, the pollen is cleaned, dehydrated and then blended with pollen from each month of the season. This ensures that those who use pollen to help build up their immune system from allergies to plants get a good blend of pollen.

What is Bee Propolis?Propolis is a form of resin which is collected by bees from bark and tree leaves. When combined by the worker bee with pollen, nectar and wax, it forms a 'sticky' substance termed 'propolis'. It is used around the hive as an effective sealant, filling holes and cracks in the shell of the bee hive. It is also used by bees as a 'disinfectant', where its sterile properties sterilizes the bees from infection. It is used very effectively by bees, who exploit its natural properties in many ways around the hive. To humans, it is said to stimulate the function of a healthy immune system and protect against certain conditions such as inflammation of the mucous membranes halitosis, coughs, tonsillitis and certain ulcers.*
